October Favourites

Since it's the first day of November, I thought it would be apt to do a post on products I have used in the past month and liked.

1.Laneige Gel Liquid Liner
Its dramatic, intense and lines my eyes more heavily for a very defined look. Love it except that it does takes longer to clean off than my other eyeliners. I reviewed it previously:Laneige Gel Liquid Liner.

2.Stylenanda 3CE Fixer & Mascara
If you like fibre mascaras, you would love this one. So far I don't think I've had any problems with 3CE products. They work pretty well for me.

3.Etude House Rosy Tint Lips #8
Wanted a strong burgundy-like color and I chose this as the shade was just right and doesn't look overly mature like most darker colors would. Really easy to use with a squeeze tube and a sponge opening for simple direct application. Been carrying it around in my makeup bag. I try to rotate my lip products so they all get more equal usage. XD I'd usually pick a color from my makeup drawer that I'm in the mood for and that will be my lip product for the week or the next few days if I'm heading out.

4.Skin Inc
This came in a packaged set Get Awesome Skin-Get Glowin' and consisted of 3 serums(5ml each), a peeling gel and a hydrating mask. I didn't see extremely significant results after close to two weeks but my skin definitely felt moisturized, like how it would when I kept to a proper skincare routine. What made it great was the fun it provided in using them and I liked the idea of using concentrated serums that targeted different skin concerns. May repurchase if there is a promotion because a 10ml bottle of serum would cost a pretty steep SGD$64. Get the set if you are considering trying out the brand for the first time and there are good reviews for their heavily marketed and popular Pure Revival Peel which is included in it.

5.Etude House Play Nail Polish 76 #BL603
Liked it as soon as I started painting it on. Polish goes on smoothly, does not require extra coats and dries off to a even glossy finish.

6.Sleek MakeUP Blush in #Pixie Pink
Vivid hue of pink that is richly pigmented, has good staying power and requires just a couple of swipes on cheeks. Highly recommended- good quality and reasonably priced at around SGD$15 from Luxola.

7.Hera UV Mist Cushion #N21
Got a friend to help me purchase this on her trip to Korea, as a replacement to The Face Shop's Natural Sun AQ Smart Cushion which I finished. It's another great cushion product and leaves my skin looking evenly smooth and dewy.

^^ Have a great weekend!

#SOTD - Luxola

The items I ordered online from Luxola arrived !!

I've had a good impression of this online store when it was newly launched but haven't bought anything from them yet. Mostly because of my obsession for Asian, more specifically Korean beauty products and they carry more of Western brands, some of which honestly I wasn't familiar with at first. :/

And they packed everything into this nice paper shopping bag. It's almost like I literally went out shopping, just that it gets delivered straight to my house.  Hehe.

Items double packed safely in a separate package inside. 0.0  I forsee this shall not be my only order in the near future.

And....it took like one working day for them to deliver my items. Such awesome service!

My mini haul. Ooh Sleek, I've heard good things about you.

Sleek MakeUP eyeshadow palette in #Bad Girl

Anyway, they do carry a small range of the 3CE brand in their inventory which is a good option if you'd like to get 1 or 2 items instead of paying for overseas shipping when you buy directly from the Stylenanda website itself. It doesn't have the complete line of products but stocks some of my favorites from the brand so far.

The skin around my left eye is experiencing some sensitivity, it's itchy and gets really dry sometimes. (I wonder if its eczema?) Will wait for it to get better before I can try out the Sleek palette. :)

Korean Makeup: 3CE Haul and Review 韓國3CE化妆品

3 Concept Eyes Glossing Waterful Foundation

Firstly, I've hardly liked using liquid foundations as they always seem to leave this 'oily' coating and heavy coverage feeling after application. But when I read the reviews for 3CE's Waterful Foundation, it sounded promising and I wanted to give it a try, seeing that I've pretty much liked the products I've tried from the brand so far.

I'm using #Milk Ivory.

Cr:Stylenanda

I gotta say I love the light texture, which its name so aptly describes. It absorbs and applies easily over my skin and doesn't leave that cake-y or oily feel. It also makes my face look dewy and radiant. It is a great product for light coverage, and if you do not require a more thorough concealing of blemishes or scars.

It can be applied on using a sponge, foundation brush, or as I prefer, lightly patting it on to my face. :)

Texture/Feel: Lightweight
Staying Power: High
Application: Simple, easy to glide on
Price: Reasonable
Love it? : Yes

3 Concept Eyes Cream Blusher in #Coral Coral and #Baby Peachhttp://stylenanda.cafe24.com/web/upload5/3con-1455_en.jpg
 http://stylenanda.g-img.poxo.com/web/upload5/3con-2626.jpg
This 2 colors turned out pretty similar and it's a lighter(#Baby Peach) and darker(#Coral Coral) shade of orange-hued blushers. I know right. Why buy the same?? But I was attracted to how they look on site and on the models and couldn't decide which I liked better, so I got both. :/

Application is simple and can be done using your fingers, which is the best way to control the intensity of the color and making use of the warmth for better absorption, or using a brush if you prefer not to stain your fingers.

One thing about using cream blushers is that unlike powder types which build-on lightly and look sweet with one swipe of a brush, one swipe of a cream blusher if you are heavy handed will look like you just got into a fight. :D
So it requires more patience, time to carefully blend it over the cheekbones.

As usual, its a well pigmented product which is great for those who love creamy blushers.

Texture/Feel: Lightweight
Staying Power: Good
Application: Simple, easy to build on to desired color intensity
Price: Reasonable
Love it? : Not Bad

3 Concept Eyes Slim Eyebrow Pencil in #Chestnut Brown

It didn't look very promising at first when I saw it as its a really slim pencil which looked like it required many strokes to fill up the brows. But the width of the pencil is adequate and it is easy to fill in and draw my brows, the color is not too harsh which makes it easy to control. The plus point of it being so slim is that it takes up less space in your makeup pouch and feels light to hold.  It comes in four shades to suit different hair colors.

3 Concept Eyes Mini Brush Kit in #Pink

PINK brushes!! The only reason I bought them. hahaha. They come in this same cute bold pink box. The bristles are soft and I tried lightly pulling them and they do not come off easily. :)

A list of the type of brushes included.

Brushes cost about $60+ USD and come in #Black and #Pink.
